If you're chatting with someone on Workplace, you can change how your text looks.
To format text in Workplace Chat messages:

| Italic | Type an underscore before and after the text. | _Text_ |
| Bold | Type an asterisk before and after the text. | *Text* |
| Strikethrough | Type a tilde before and after the text. | ~Text~ |
| Monospace | Type a backtick before and after the text. | `Text` |
| Quote | Type a greater-than sign before the text. | >Text |
| Codeblock | Type 3 backticks before and after the text. | ```Text``` |
